About Me

Victoria Ramsey petting Tala

First, I want to say thank you for visiting my site! I enjoy meeting new people and hearing their story. So please feel free to write me.

Now about me, I have been a counselor for twenty years. I love to write poetry and take photographs of family, friends, and nature. Recently I took a picture of a huge spider web I found in my backyard, you can see it in the photo gallery. It reached from the limbs of a tree to the ground below. I found it fascinating to watch as the wind strongly blew it and the web just swayed in the wind. It glistened as the sun began to set and shine upon it. Besides poetry and photography, I enjoy attending powwows and learning about the Native American culture. I hope you will take time to look at the photos I have taken at some of the powwows.

Writing my story has been a great challenge for me. I actually wrote my story a few years ago, but fear held me back from publishing. Fear has been my number one enemy along the way to this point. I would play the tape of the 'what if's' such as, "What if the perpetrators were to discover I told the secret?" However, I know if I truly want to be free from the past, then I have done the right thing by publishing. Everything I do today, I strive to do in a way which helps keep me centered and balanced. I enjoy the peace that comes along with it. It has been a long time coming, but all the hours of therapy and 12 step meetings have been worth it. I hope you come back to visit from time to time and drop me a note. I would love to hear from you! To write please see my contact page.

May the Great Spirit watch over you, for He knows the paths you walk and He will guide your footsteps gently.
